The first models of Apple's next new product, the iPad, will be available online and in Apple stores on Saturday, April 3. The Wi-Fi-only versions of the iPad, which run from $500-700 can be purchased in Apple stores and on Apple.com on that day, with the 3G version going on sale later in the month. Pre-orders for both models will start one week from today.

Apple also announced that all iPad models would be available internationally later in April--namely, in Australia, Canada, England, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, and Switzerland--with pricing for other countries to be determined. Now that the release date is known and pre-orders will soon be taken, are you going to pick up an iPad at launch?
