I find it funny that no one said Modern Warfare 2. I don't even own any of the games that were talked about. I guess that's a fail on me.

There is two games that I had tons of fun playing and those two are assassin's creed 2 and batman:AA. Those games were amazing, but if I had to choose one it would be assassin's creed 2. It exceeded the first one in ways I didn't think was going to happen. AC2 is one game that I didn't want to return.

I am shocked nobody mentioned MW2. That game is crack!! I can't take anything away from the games that were mentioned, especially considering the picks are individual opinions,but not even so much as a mention? Either way, thank you guys for pointing out some great titles I don't own yet;it'll go a long way towards my next purchase.

Why's everyone so enthused about AC2? The game had such a weak ending, it made the first AC's ending look like a stroke of genius by comparison. And the gameplay mechanics haven't improved at all. And why do people keep mentioning it's the game of the year just because they did everything so much better in this sequel? Shouldn't that mean Killzone 2 is also game of the year? And why do people want to collect 100 identical feathers? So many questions, so little time. BTW, I finished AC2 and sold it and couldn't be happier that I did the latter. Uncharted 2 hands down best game of the year--and that game had a challenging ending (at least on hard and crushing).

That's a really big long hard one. I would have to say MW2.

WHAT ABOUT DRAGON AGE!!!

My favorite game of last year was Demon's Souls. I've spent so much time playing it. I even ended up playing through two different times. First time I spent around 100 hours. Then my PS3 died and when I got a new one it wouldn't let me transfer my save (GRRRR). On my current play through I've spent about 130 hours and I still haven't finished it. I have AC2, Uncharted 2, and Dragon Age, but I'm so caught up in Demon's Souls that I haven't even played them.
